Spirits in Gdańsk — the Japanese shelf at to.gather
from 20 zł
For guests over 18 only
The heart of this list is the Japanese shelf. Whisky runs from the Tenjaku and Fuyu blends through Nikka From The Barrel to the Fuji single malt — four different schools at one bar. Next to them, gins with Japanese botanicals: Suntory's Roku, the cherry-blossom Etsu Sakura and Tenjaku, then Ukiyo rice vodka, Nikka Coffey and the five-year Teeda craft rum from Okinawa. For something sweeter — Choya plum liqueurs and melon Midori.
The classics are here too: Campari, Kahlua, Captain Morgan rums, Olmeca Altos tequila and Martini vermouths — for aperitifs and cocktails. We pour 40 ml servings, so it is easy to build your own flight, say three Japanese whiskies side by side. Adults only; book a table at Stępkarska 7 in Gdańsk online.

Questions & answers
What makes Japanese whisky different?
It aims for purity and balance — gentler smoke, precise blending. Here you can compare four styles: the Tenjaku and Fuyu blends, the intense Nikka From The Barrel and the Fuji single malt, each as a 40 ml pour.
What is inside Roku gin?
Roku means “six” — the number of Japanese botanicals Suntory adds: cherry blossom and leaf, yuzu, plus sencha and gyokuro teas. Next to it stands Etsu Sakura with a distinctly cherry profile.
Can I order a tasting flight?
Yes — everything is poured as 40 ml, so you build the flight freely: three whiskies, or two gins and the Teeda rum. The bartender will suggest an order and what pairs with your sushi set.
